Canadian duo, Rob Maran of Maran Illustrated and Deidra Jones, a veteran of the Canadian advertising industry, have teamed up to become one of the first Canadians to product and launch an iPhone application. Their new application called Pocket Cocktails and is now available for sale on Apple’s iTunes store.
Pocket has a retro 1960’s theme and uses beautiful, large, high resolution pictures and incorporates many trendy iPhone features including the integrated graphics and navigation features that the iPhone is famous for. This seamless integration of visuals and content provides a fast, engaging and, entertaining user experience. Unlike other iPhone applications, some that require users to store images on the Internet, requiring Internet connection and extra cellular charges or both, Pocket Cocktail images are all stored within the application so the user only pays a one time charge to use.
Pocket Cocktails also has fun bonus features including a “Random” mode, which lets the iPhone user shake the phone to get a random drink image, recipe and ingredient list all from the ebartender. While serving up the drink, the iPhone spits out a colourful collection of shaker noises and catchy phrases to the user.
With Pocket Cocktails and the touch of your fingertips, you can serve drinks like a professional bartender. They made sure that even a tech neophyte can pickup and use this application in seconds. A complimentary 40-page Bartender’s guide is available as a downloadable free resource on the pocketcocktails.com website.
Since launching on October 16, sales of the Pocket Cocktails application are close to 1,000 worldwide, selling in more than 20 countries.
Pocket Cocktails is available for $4.99 exclusively at Apple’s iPhone application store, iTunes or through www.pocketcocktails.com.
