Fast facts about Canadians' online shopping habits

(NC) – Canadians love to shop online. Here are some recent statistics about our online shopping habits:
- 86% of Canadians have access to the Internet from any location (wireless, home, Smartphone or Personal Digital Assistant);
- 76% of online Canadians have purchased a product or service directly over the Internet and 22% purchase online at least monthly*;
- 73% of online Canadians comparison shop online, up from 55% in 2008*;
- On average, Canadian online shoppers made about seven purchases and spent a total of $558 online in the last year. *
