While it hasn’t generated the same hype as the iPhone launch, Microsoft announced Tuesday that the Zune, which was released in the US back in November 2006, will finally arrive in Canada on June 13.
The Zune will be available in three different models 40GB, 70GB (red, black and pink) and 80GB (black and red) capacity and the price will range from $140 to $250. The Zune has a color screen capable of video playback, an FM tuner, and ability to share music over wireless Internet connections.
Beginning Tuesday, Canadians will be able to download Zune music management software similar to Apple’s iTunes from zune.ca. However, Canadians will not have access to the Zune Marketplace, Microsoft’s online music and video store just yet.
